Local History Museum Exhibition
About exhibition
From the contents of the permanent exhibition you can learn about the city's history and its notable residents. The museum's second floor tells the story of the city starting from the 1900s, when Artyom first emerged from coal pits. Separate displays are dedicated to major events: the Great Patriotic War (World War II), and the Afghan and Chechen military conflicts. Here you can learn how these events affected Artyom's history and fate. The history of the Cossack movement in the municipal district is also presented. The exhibitions will interest both local residents who want to learn more about their hometown's history and tourists and local historians.
