The museum's History Department exhibition covers the rich and multifaceted history of the Kursk region, from the earliest times and the first settlements located on the territory of present-day Kursk Region up to the present day. It is presented through various artifacts, documents, photographs, and multimedia materials that immerse visitors in the region's past. Each hall contains objects from different historical periods. The most popular room in the department's exhibition is the gentry room, which displays furniture from the Maryino estate.
