Exhibition «The History of the Building in the History of the City»

About exhibition

The exhibition is housed in the Prikaznaya Izba building, an architectural monument of federal significance dating from the first half of the 18th century. It introduces visitors to the history of the building itself, Kazanskaya Street, Vyatka crafts and their development, as well as the traditions of Vyatka hospitality and cuisine. The first hall displays museum objects that tell about the life, everyday routines, and crafts of ordinary Vyatka residents. The interior of the second hall is filled with rarer and more refined museum exhibits and tells the story of trade and the merchant class. The exhibition also includes display cases with products of Vyatka handicrafts. You will see antique Dymkovo toys, burl-wood tableware, woven items, garmoshkas and other musical instruments, children's toys, carved wooden items, and more.
