Exhibition 'The History of Modern Wars' — The permanent exhibition of the Museum of the History of the Youth Movement reveals dramatic episodes of our country's recent era: the combat operations in Afghanistan. The first hall, which tells the history of Afghanistan and the development of the conflict, is called 'Ruined House'. The exhibition includes archival documents, photographs, and personal belongings of soldiers who took part in the ten-year Afghan campaign (1979–1989). These artifacts help to better understand the reasons for the deployment of Soviet units to Afghanistan, the course of military operations, and the outcomes of the conflict. A special thematic section, 'The Soldier's Campaign Life', demonstrates the living and service conditions of military personnel and the weapons used in the armed clashes of the last quarter of the previous century. The next space is dedicated to the memory of fallen internationalist soldiers. Each exhibited document symbolizes a personal story, a fate, a lost life.
