Exhibition 'History of the Kursk Region from the Stone Age to the 18th Century'

The museum's permanent exhibition occupies seven halls devoted to various periods of the Kursk Region's history from the Stone Age to the 18th century: 'The History of Research into Kursk Antiquities', 'Kursk Region in the Stone Age', 'Kursk Region in the Bronze Age', 'Kursk Region in Scythian Times', 'Population of the Kursk Forest-Steppe in the 2nd–7th centuries AD', 'Clothing and Jewelry of the Population of the Kursk Region in the 6th–7th centuries', 'Kursk Region in the late 8th – first half of the 11th century', 'Kursk Region in the 11th–14th centuries', 'Kursk Region in the 16th–18th centuries' and includes more than 3,000 original items. The exhibition makes extensive use of the latest multimedia systems: tactile-sensory screens and portable audio equipment (tyflomarker), which facilitate viewing and help visitors independently explore the material.
