Exhibition 'History and Daily Life of the Starotitarovskaya Stanitsa'

The exhibition features photographs, household items, agricultural implements and kitchenware that reflect the history, daily life and traditions of the Cossacks. Many items are interesting and unique. Among them are a rubel (traditional clothes-washing board), a koshelka, a corn sheller, a salotovka; more common exhibits are also presented: makitry (large earthenware mixing bowls), jugs and spoons. All of them are characteristic reflections of the local culture. The second hall continues to introduce the history and everyday life of the stanitsa. There are many interesting exhibits here, and each has its own legend and story. Items such as an oslonchik (sofa), a gramophone, a spinning wheel, a chest of drawers, a trumeau (dressing table with mirror) and a wooden bed are over 100 years old. A unique exhibit of the museum is a wedding dress that is a contemporary of the Great Victory. Sewn in 1945 from parachute fabric, it reflects the love story of Raisa and Ivan.
