Exhibition "Christian Art"
About exhibition
The Christian Art gallery features reproductions of frescoes, icons, copper castings and sculptures. The reproductions of frescoes shown in the exhibition were made after originals dating from the 11th–17th centuries and introduce the art of Ancient and Medieval Rus'. The works were executed by A. K. Krylov, a teacher at the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (now the I. E. Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture), and his students. The icons, copper castings and wooden sculptures represent Christian culture from the late 18th to the early 20th century.
