The exhibition tells about the City of Military Glory — Tuapse, awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st class. Visitors learn how the Great Patriotic War began in Tuapse and how, under difficult conditions and constant bombing, medical personnel and factory workers carried on. A large collection of items assembled for the exhibition presents the history of the creation and operation of the Tuapse naval base. Visitors will become acquainted with the unique experience of constructing the Tuapse defensive district and the Agoy military airfield. In the exhibition cases guests will see photographs and documents recounting the bloody battles on the approaches to the city, the defenders of Tuapse, and Heroes of the Soviet Union. The panorama that adorns the N.G. Poletaev Museum exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the wartime atmosphere, see the scale of the Tuapse defensive operation, and feel the suffering of the civilian population during the war.
