Exhibition 'The City of Tsarevokokshaysk — County Center'
About exhibition
The museum's permanent exhibition is dedicated to the history of the city from its founding (1584) to the revolutionary events of 1917. Here you will learn how the city on the Kokshaga River emerged and developed. Genuine witnesses of those distant years — antique objects and photographs — are on display. They preserve the history of the old town: everyday life and customs, the traditions of Tsarevokokshaysk's residents, and the fates of notable townspeople. You will also see how townspeople and peasants lived, what the town's historic churches looked like, and learn which houses have survived to the present day.
