Exhibition of the Gallery of Stone Sculptures at the N. M. Martyanov Museum
About exhibition
Minusinsk Regional Local History Museum named after N. M. Martyanov invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science, culture, religion and art from different eras. Visitors to the museum — the oldest in the south of Krasnoyarsk Krai and the first in the Yenisei Governorate — will see rare exhibits from its collections. The Gallery of Stone Sculptures showcases unique artifacts of the past — stone stelae dating back about 4,000 years. Among the exhibits, particularly notable are the stelae found and described by the first explorer of Siberia, D. G. Messerschmidt, as well as the largest museum collection of slabs with Turkic rune-like inscriptions.
