Ethnography Exhibition
About exhibition
The ethnography exhibition introduces visitors to the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North. The Khanty, Mansi and Nenets have lived in the territory of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra for more than five thousand years. Their customs, traditions and worldview have been preserved to this day not only in legends, fairy tales and ancestral songs (sagas), but also in the very way of life of these people, who live in touching harmony with the nature of the North. The exhibition features traditional clothing and jewelry, birch-bark vessels, children's toys, tools and materials for needlework and handicrafts, means of transport, weapons, traps and other household items.
