Exhibition «Road to the City»
About exhibition
The interactive exhibition «Road to the City» is a continuation of the «Virtual Walk through the Streets of Königsberg» theme. Created using artistic and multimedia means and with collections of exhibits from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century, the exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the everyday life of Königsberg with its developed infrastructure. Interactive window-display complexes, located on the original cobbled roadway of the Friedland Gate carriageway, invite you to stroll through the old town… Here you can visit a cinema, sign and send a postcard at the post office, find out what toys children played with at the beginning of the last century, peek into a residential house, or have a commemorative photo taken at the photo studio… The artistic realization of the theme was carried out by artist Roza Tkachenko, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. The exhibition was created as part of the international project «Museums Without Borders», implemented by the Archaeological-Historical Museum of Elbląg and the Friedland Gate Museum in Kaliningrad.
