Exhibition of the House of Leonid Andreyev
About exhibition
The exhibition displays personal belongings of Andreyev and his family. Museum visitors can see the writer’s writing implements (an "everlasting" pen with a gold nib and an inkwell shaped like the head of an Egyptian woman), his typewriter, a metric birth record, and his diploma from Moscow University. The display representing the Finnish period of the writer’s life consists of authentic furniture from his house on the Chernaya Rechka: a soft sofa with a carved oak base, oak chairs and a writing desk with relief decorations, a mirror in an oak frame, and a wall-mounted medicine cabinet.
