Exhibition «House of Hieromartyr Seraphim (Zvezdinsky)»
About exhibition
The house is located on the grounds of the former Podlipichye estate (now Podlipichye St., Dmitrov; a 10-minute walk from the town center) and was built in 1900 with funds provided by the estate owner E.S. Lyamina for the clergy of the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. From 1920 to 1922 Bishop Seraphim (Zvezdinsky) of Dmitrov lived here. In 2014 the house was transferred to the Dmitrov Kremlin Museum-Reserve; it currently houses the exhibition «You Are All in My Heart», dedicated to the life and spiritual legacy of Bishop Seraphim (Zvezdinsky) of Dmitrov. The exhibition hall presents, through photographs, letters, documents and drawings, the life, pastoral ministry, and severe trials that befell Bishop Seraphim. During Seraphim Zvezdinsky's time a house church was established in the building; in 2014 it was restored according to a preserved drawing by the bishop's spiritual children and consecrated by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna in the name of Hieromartyr Seraphim.
