The archaeological exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the depths of history and discover the ancient mysteries of Western Siberia. For centuries this territory has attracted researchers with its inexhaustible riddles and artifacts attesting to the region's rich history. The chronological range of the archaeological collection spans from deep antiquity to the relatively recent past. The exhibition features objects of material culture dating from the Mesolithic (8th millennium BCE) up to the late Middle Ages (17th century). The exhibition includes a variety of artifacts reflecting the everyday life and culture of the region’s ancient inhabitants: tools used in various activities; ceramic items of various shapes and functions; ornaments and decorative art objects; and paleontological finds, among which mammoth remains occupy a special place. The museum's collections contain an impressive number of exhibits — 14,121 inventory items. Each artifact is a priceless source of information about the ancient civilizations that inhabited the territory of present-day Western Siberia. Thanks to the meticulous work of archaeologists, the collection is continually enriched with new finds, expanding our understanding of the region's history. This exhibition is not only a repository of ancient artifacts but also an important scientific center contributing to the study and preservation of Western Siberia's historical and cultural heritage.
