About exhibition

MBUK "Historical and Art Museum" opened in 1988 and today consists of four exhibition halls: the Local History Hall, the Hall of Military Glory, the "Lukhovitsy Cucumber" Hall, and the Tower of Nature. At the museum visitors learn about the history of the native region, how their ancestors lived, what they are famous for, and the contribution they made to the country's development. The second hall contains information about Lukhovitsy residents who took part in World War II (the Great Patriotic War) and about how the city's inhabitants experienced those times. The third hall tells the story of the cucumber business: cucumber cultivation techniques, canning secrets, and recipes. In the Tower of Nature you can get acquainted with the inhabitants of the Lukhovitsy forests.
