About exhibition

The exhibition introduces visitors to minerals and fossil organisms, samples of soils and wood, as well as representatives of the contemporary flora (herbarium specimens) and fauna (collections of beetles, butterflies, fish, birds, mammals) of the Oryol Region. There is also a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the inhabitants of the forest zone, open landscapes, and wetland ecosystems. Separate display cases are dedicated to the most striking bird species, bird nests, and the conservation of nature in the Oryol Region. The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience; it will be of interest both to the museum's young visitors and to nature lovers.
