The exhibition presents the history of the region and the history of the town. It gives a rightful place not only to archaeological and ethnographic collections that characterize the everyday life, occupations, and customs of the Pelym Mansi, but also to materials that reflect in detail the 50-year history of Yugorsk's development: personal belongings, photographs and documents of the town's residents, and work and household items from the 1960s-1990s. The history of the town of Yugorsk uniquely reflects the core events of the modern era of Western Siberia - the development of forest wealth and mineral resources, the construction of railway networks, and the birth of new modern towns amid the taiga and swamps.
