About exhibition
In the permanent exhibitions of the Ts. S. Sampilov Art Museum, visitors will encounter original works by Russian and Buryat artists, both widely known and those whose works are less familiar to audiences. The exhibition "Russian Art of the late 18th – early 20th centuries" features original works by great Russian artists: I. Shishkin, V. Borovikovsky, K. Aivazovsky, A. Kuindzhi, V. Perov, and others. The portraits, landscapes, and genre scenes on display fully convey the history of the development of Russian art. Each of the artists represented in the exhibition managed to reflect aspects of social life in a distinctive and vivid way. Today their paintings have not lost their appeal, the secret of which lies in the richness of content, craftsmanship, and the artists' unique creative individuality. The ticket price also includes admission to the Museum of Nature of Buryatia's exhibition "Taiga, Lake, Steppe...", which reveals the multifaceted beauty of Buryatia's nature and the uniqueness of Lake Baikal. Upon entering the hall, the visitor will immerse themselves in an interactive exhibition of Buryatia's nature with the sounds of the taiga and Lake Baikal. The scent of coniferous trees will let you feel an atmosphere of unity with nature. Commercial exhibitions are not included in the price.
