The Vesnin Brothers, Architects. The Beginning
About exhibition
The A. V. Shchusev State Museum of Architecture, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, presents the exhibition project “The Vesnin Brothers, Architects. The Beginning,” dedicated to the unique creative partnership of the architect brothers — authors of many landmark buildings of the 1920s–1930s both in Moscow and far beyond. The town of Yuryevets in the Kostroma Governorate (now Ivanovo Region), which this year celebrates its 800th anniversary, was the starting point of the brothers' rise to the heights of architecture. The exhibition “The Vesnin Brothers, Architects. The Beginning” features more than 200 items, including unique architectural graphics — student works and competition projects by the Vesnin brothers, their landmark projects from the 1910s–1930s, historical and family photographs, documents, and personal and business correspondence. The exhibition will be held at the Aptekarsky Prikaz. Admission requires purchasing a single ticket valid for all current museum exhibitions.
