Laundresses. Picture

Alexander Alekseevich Buchkuri's painting "Laundresses" was painted in 1908. It shows the riverbank: on the catwalks located across the water, several women and girls are washing clothes. One of the women, in a shirt and light skirt, stands with her back to the viewer, leaning on the railing. A naked girl is sitting next to her downstairs, she also has her back turned to the viewer. In the background, you can see the coast with individual trees and roofs, and beyond that, rolling hills, lost in a gray haze. The painting is done in oil on canvas.
