The wedding train. Picture
Alexander Alekseevich Buchkuri's painting "The Wedding Train" (1912) captures the atmosphere of a village wedding celebration. In the foreground is a cart with cheerful participants of the celebration in bright festive clothes. An elderly woman holds an image in a gilded frame. The first cart is followed by two more — they are also full of riders dressed in colorful national clothes of central Russia. All this unfolds against the backdrop of a rural landscape.
