The 7.62mm DT tank machine gun was developed by Vasily Alekseevich Degtyarev. It was established in 1935. It was produced at a factory in Kovrov (Vladimir region). Metal and wood are used in the construction of the machine gun. The weapon was an important element of the Soviet tank armament.
